Body casting је процес узимања калупа директно са било којег дијела тијела с циљем израде јединствене скулптуре. Након узимања отиска скулптура се може направити од гипса, полиестера, бронзе или неког другог материјала. Најчешће су то отисци руку, торза, лица, стомака у трудноћи итд. Најупечатљивија карактеристика оваквих скулптура је висок ниво реализма до најситнијих детаља.
“Идеја за прављење оваквих скулптура ми је дошла још у средњој школи. Све је почело као експеримент када сам успио да направим отисак лица. Након тога су усљедили нови отисци и веће скулптуре. Данас поред скулптура руку и лица радим и велике скулптуре читавих тијела”, рекао је Дамир Шабић професор ликовне умјетности који је Body casting представио на Наставничком вијећу као своју стручну тему.
